SlowBuild
is a philosophy of construction anchored in community. Material, when possible, is salvaged from dismantled sites. Local craftsmen contribute their own expertise to creatively solve design issues. Labor and time is spent re-visioning different uses for reclaimed and recycled material. Creativity and innovation are requirements. Sustainable finishes are used whenever possible, with an emphasis on performance and longevity. Above all, buildings are meant to function well over long periods of time.
